Business Strategist

Tchoum Group is looking for a Business Strategist.

A business strategist is a professional who works to help companies achieve their long-term goals by formulating strategic plans. Business strategists are responsible for understanding market trends, customer needs and expectations, company strengths and weaknesses, and opportunities and threats. They use this information to develop action plans that allow the company to maximize its chances of success.

Business strategists often work closely with the company’s senior management, such as the CEO or general manager, as well as with the marketing, sales and product development teams. They may also be involved in major decisions such as mergers and acquisitions, investments and product launches.

Key skills of a business strategist include data analysis, strategic planning, market understanding, critical thinking, effective communication and decision making.

The role of a Business Strategist is to develop business strategies to help organisations achieve their long-term goals. The Business Strategist usually works in strategy consulting firms, but can also be employed directly by a company.

Their role is to analyse market trends, the company’s strengths and weaknesses, and the opportunities and threats facing the company. They may also examine the company’s finances and the competition in the market to help determine appropriate strategies.

Once these analyses have been completed, the Business Strategist can propose action plans to help the company achieve its long-term goals. They can also help implement these plans by working with the company’s leadership and employees.

You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure you are up to date, assist with campaigns and events, and edit and adapt marketing materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies for The Tchoum Consulting clients.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of companies, industries and market trends to help formulate recommendations for clients.
  • Oversee the implementation of business strategy projects and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Build strong client relationships by providing quality customer service and generating cross-sell opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver creative solutions to clients.

Requirements:

  • A background in business, economics, finance, or business management.
  • 7-10 years of professional experience in a consulting firm or similar business, with experience working with clients across industries.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to understand and analyze financial and operational data.
  • A thorough understanding of the principles of business strategy and strategic planning.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex analyses in a clear and concise manner.
  • A professional, customer-focused, problem-solving attitude.
